the only problem i have with lana del rey is that she is not able to keep up with that character she created or not.

in born to die, she reminds me of Pam, of true blood. it was my first introduction to del rey. and i thought she was an amazing actress and had an amazing tone to her voice.

but the more i watched interviews and live performances, it's very clear she lacks the balls put into her videos and images.

what turns me off is that inability to keep up with that image, and it's also what fascinates me, because you see it in her, yet she doesn't always keep up.

i think i'll just stick to watch LDR on videos and listen to her albums, but i won't bother with performances.

it's a very decent album in my opinion and i'm just starting to discover because i'm somewhat curious about her.

people should stop trying to tear her down, this is not the worst thing to happen to music, au contraire, it's new and interesting in these sterile grounds.

The subject of Lana Del Rey's authenticity isn't as fascinating as music writers seem to think it is.

Love the article, definitely agree. She has some great songs, but the theme is definitely redundant and kind of overused. Blue Jeans and Video Games are nearly similar, even in their videos it becomes kind of clouded which one belongs to which if you put it on mute. I appreciate Lana del Rey's story and really like some of her songs but come on...develop your story lady!

Also, I actually LOL'd at pearjack's comment. Way too true.

the only problem i have with lana del rey is that she is not able to keep up with that character she created or not.

in born to die, she reminds me of Pam, of true blood. it was my first introduction to del rey. and i thought she was an amazing actress and had an amazing tone to her voice.

but the more i watched interviews and live performances, it's very clear she lacks the balls put into her videos and images.

what turns me off is that inability to keep up with that image, and it's also what fascinates me, because you see it in her, yet she doesn't always keep up.

i think i'll just stick to watch LDR on videos and listen to her albums, but i won't bother with performances.

it's a very decent album in my opinion and i'm just starting to discover because i'm somewhat curious about her.

people should stop trying to tear her down, this is not the worst thing to happen to music, au contraire, it's new and interesting in these sterile grounds.

Way too true.

the only problem i have with lana del rey is that she is not able to keep up with that character she created or not.

in born to die, she reminds me of Pam, of true blood. it was my first introduction to del rey. and i thought she was an amazing actress and had an amazing tone to her voice.

but the more i watched interviews and live performances, it's very clear she lacks the balls put into her videos and images.

what turns me off is that inability to keep up with that image, and it's also what fascinates me, because you see it in her, yet she doesn't always keep up.

i think i'll just stick to watch LDR on videos and listen to her albums, but i won't bother with performances.

it's a very decent album in my opinion and i'm just starting to discover because i'm somewhat curious about her.

people should stop trying to tear her down, this is not the worst thing to happen to music, au contraire, it's new and interesting in these sterile grounds.

nice analysis... top quality reflection on an interesting and (i think) important subject. {what does this album say about the quality of time we live in?}
