Yeah, honestly, I think that they would be a much better and more widely respected band if he stopped singing. Now more than ever his presence is jarring and has nothing to do with their strengths, it makes them very unfocused. I mean, it’s great when bands have a foil to the main singer, but I don’t think he actually has that kind of chemistry with Caila. He mostly just seems like a guy from a totally different and lesser band.

caila’s voice is definitely more unique, more sort of compelling, and i think i can see what you’re saying. i guess your rather pointed “better” makes my overly diplomatic, equivocating side come out, but really your opinion has always been thought-out and consistent. i just like rory, but i’m not sure i can explain why exactly. it definitely has something to do with my attachment to “that fat hand.”
