Most years, i have difficulty saying what my favorite song of the year is. So far, not this. that song is just brilliant and i don't even like the National that much. sorry to digress away from the subject of Pavement and whether or not BSS is derivative and unworthy. well maybe but isn’t that one of BSS’s better songs and doesn’t the Pavement reference make it sort of ok? i’m not defending BSS but “Major Label Debut (fast version)” is pretty kick a$$.
