Random question -- sort of. Was thinking of the recent novel,The Escapist, earlier, today -- and thought of it, again, reading this particular post, tonight. Is the case you suggest the band makes valid? (A big question leading to even bigger questions, I know, but, curious.) (Also: mere weeks after my parents gave me a new iPod for Xmas, my Mom remonstrated me for, as she put it, using it to "shut myself off from the world." Is she telling me to start my own band?)

Nice one Matt, your taste is top notch. Interestingly I think this album will move them further away from the mainstream again which means I'll be able to move my arms at gigs again. Phew.

great description, and cheers to FF for being able to evolve their sound this dramatically. loved the first two albums but a lot has changed since their debut and it was pretty obvious they'd need to move on to stay relevant.
