Well, I posted "Mercy" back when it was #1 in the UK. That's a great song.

I don't know about you, Matthew, but I found Out of Control to be really disappointing. For the first time, Xenomania seem really behind the curve. They spend most of the record aping Kleerup and the Adele/Duffy retro soul sound, rather than rolling out their usual stylistic mishmash. Most of the songs are midtempo, and the lyrics, which have our heroines embracing mediocre affairs with dull men, are heartbreaking. Calling such a staid album "Out of Control" seems like a sick joke; "Being Boring" would've been a much better move.

Wouldn't it be marvelous to hear Girls Aloud cover that Pet Shop Boys song?

Er, I'm not exactly sure I like that Girls Aloud track. It seems totally and unnecessarily sluggish.

And please don't tell me all the lyrics are no longer puzzling ciphers. Noooo.
