When you put it like this I can definitely see where you're coming from, but I always hear the lyrics on the surface level of just being silly for silly's sake. Probably because they got famous on jokey stuff. It's growing on me, but I'd still say Flashy is their weakest effort yet. "Graphic Designer" is their worst song ever, imo. Still, "Dirty Ball", "Formula 409" and "Gay Bar Part Two" own. Did you pick up the rarities/demos disc they were selling on this tour? It's got some drek but also some really good stuff.
