I've listened to this song several times, and I just can't decide if I like it, or if it makes me want to scream in agony. I admit, there's something interesting going on here, but I'm not 100% certain it's good -- I'll reserve judgement until I hear the rest of the album, I suppose.

Spin did do a feature article on the Silverlake (an area just outside of LA) scene in their last "Next Big Things" issue. It featured Giant Drag and Autolux and all the rest of the usual suspects from around there.

Kinda, sorta. Some songs are more art-punk, some are more in this direction. Other tracks feature female vocals, jazz-ish keyboards and cello. I think you'd be satisfied with it, though. It comes together pretty well as an LP.
